Dean Casavechia was born and raised on the East Coast of Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Getting his start as a sports photographer Dean moved from sports to portraiture work before progressing into advertising and fine art photography. Dean is primarily a people photographer, an is comfortable photographing the unusual to the famous such as Bill Clinton. Dean worked his way through high school and university by running various business including holding large dances drawing hundreds of party goers and running a popular amusement center during the summer months. His strong business background and attention to detail serves him well as an advertising photographer. No matter what the scope of the project from personal to agency work Dean’s ability to manage both people and time is always an asset. Dean is comfortable with both film and digital and is very proficient in shooting both large format film and digital mediums. Using his public speaking skills, developed while doing standup comedy in university, Dean hosts photography workshops focused on business practices and marketing. Dean is primarily focused on on-location photography with travel becoming an increasing part of many new projects. |
